March 7th, 1941 - August 5th, 2021
Mr. David Earl Blanton, age 80 a resident of Haines City passed away Thurs. Aug. 5, 2021 at Winter Haven Hospital surrounded by family. Mr. Blanton was born March 7, 1941 in Wauchula, FL. to J. Hugh and Nita Pauline (Wollard) Blanton. He was a Polk Co. resident since 2000 coming from Tampa. David was a retired General Contractor & Home Builder. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, yardwork, camping with his son & grandchildren and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter – Darla Ann Blanton; brothers & sisters. David is survived by his loving wife of 41 years – Kathryn Blanton of Haines City; son – David (Colleen) Blanton of Lake Alfred; 2 brothers – Glenn (Grace) Blanton of Dover and Leroy (Jane) Blanton of Texas; 2 sisters – Linda Rankin of Lake Alfred and Barbara Browning of Plant City; sister in law & brother in law – Marykay & John P. Rodgers, IV of Oxford, PA. and 4 grandchildren – Daniel, Rachel, Dean & Jacob. A memorial service will be 11:30am Sat. Aug. 14th at Kersey Funeral Home.
