David Phillip Brody, 77, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, February 19, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. He was born November 23, 1939 in Boone, Iowa to parents Jack and Rae Brody. David is survived by brother Eliot Joshua (Helene) Brody and their children and grandchildren; his brother Martin Noah (Rochelle) Brody and their children and grandchildren; as well as numerous cousins and their progeny and friends. David was educated at Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania, focusing on the studies of business and finance. David was a long-time resident of Las Vegas and used that education for commercial real estate development in many parts of the country. David was an avid poker player, who made final tables at WSOP and WPT championships in 7 Card Stud and Omaha Hi/Lo games, making him one of the premier poker players in Las Vegas. He was also a collector of mini bottles, having amassed a collection of bottles from around the world and from many decades. A graveside funeral will be held on Friday, February 24 at 9:00am at Palm Cemetery, 6701 N Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
