"Charlotte, NC, David Alan Brouillette, 48, passed away suddenly at home from a seizure disorder on February 12, 2014. Born in Holyoke, MA on September 10, 1965, he was the son of Joseph (John) Brouillette and Rita (Fontaine) Taylor of S. Dennis, MA and the stepson of Robert Taylor. David attended S. Hadley grade schools, graduating from Basic High in Henderson, NV in 1985 with high honors in the top 6% of his class of over 200 students and making the drill team in the 4 year ROTC Program. While in his senior year, he took credit courses at UNLV. Very in involved in the Sierra Club, David enjoyed hikes at Bryce Canyon, the Grand Canyon, the White Mts. of CA, Zion National Park and Kayaking the "Narrows" there. Though not one of the two appointed from the state of NV, David had the honor of being one of only six nominated from NV by Senator Harry Reid, for Annapolis Academy. David earned his Assoc. Degree in Electronics from ENMU and his BS in Electrical Engineering Tech from New Mexico State Univ., Las Cruses, working at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamagorda in a work study program his last 2 years. Prior to his death, David was a journeyman electrician with Local 379 in Charlotte, NC since 2000. In addition to his mother on Cape Cod, he leaves his sisters Diane (Ron) Paul in AK, Susan (Richard) Blundo in NJ, and brother Bruce (Patricia) Brouillette in PA, four nephews, Shawn, Joshua, Brian and Korey, along with 6 grand nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his father, step father and his brother Dean. It was David's wish that his ashes be scattered from a beautiful mountain site. Many were chosen, from Alaska and Maui, to the Blue Ride Mts of N. Carolina. Because of his love of nature and wildlife, the family suggests that any donations be made in his memory to a shelter of your choice."
