David Porter Burch

David P. Burch quietly passed away on Friday June 3. David had an adventures life, filled with travel, friends and family. His adventures led to good stories and sound advice. David was born to Ruth Jeanette Burch (Shumacher) and Roy Waldrop in San Francisco CA. He referred to his stepfather Maurice Burch as his Dad. David joined the Air Force upon his graduation from high school in the state of Washington. After his service to our country, he had a long and impressive career with various contractors in Cape Canaveral contributing to the Space Program where he worked until his death at the age of 80. He was a lifelong learner continuously attending various online college courses even after completing his Master’s degree from the University Denver. His knowledge and attention to precision will be dearly missed by his coworkers. David is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marlene Burch (Melbourne, FL), daughter Sileide Cantu (Joaquin Cantu) grandchildren, Tatiana Cantu (CA), Angel Nikoll Ramirez, great grandchildren Skyler McDuffee-Ramirez, Echo Cohen-Ramirez. Son Daniel Burch (Jennifer Burch) grandchildren, Kaiden Burch, Kaia Burch and Hailee Burch (Pearland, TX) , Son Dennis Burch (Kim Burch) grandchildren Allison Gaier, Luke Gaier, David Burch (Rockledge, FL), Son Jeffery Burch and half-sister Candi Waldrop Morgan (WA). David was preceded in Death by his parents Ruth Burch, and Father Maurice Burch, sister Brenda Hall and son Douglass Burch. A memorial will be held at Pineda Beach Park, on July 9th at 8.00am. At this time the family asks that in lieu of flowers, any donation can be made to the local SPCA in his name.
