David Michael Dodds
March 25th, 1954 - April 3rd, 2018
David M. Dodds was born in Tacoma Washington in March of 1954 and went home to our Lord on April 3rd, 2018. He was the eldest son of Richard and Phyllis Dodds. David was raised in Seabeck, Washington, graduated from Central Kitsap High School and remained a resident of Kitsap County his entire life. He played some high school football and was affectionately called “Harvey” due to his similar running style of a NFL fullback. David was a professional carpenter and auto body specialist; he loved his “project cars”. Throughout his life, David was an avid outdoorsman working a few crabbing seasons on Alaska’s Bering Sea and long lining for tuna off Hawaii. “Dave” was fun loving and fearless, he once won a bet by running down to the shoreline in Alaska and pet a sea lion. David had a generous heart and was known as the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back. He loved good food, fishing, hunting, softball, fast cars, friends and his family. David had a battle with cancer, he was tough and humbled, yet amidst this battle he gave his life to Christ. David is survived by his daughter Lea and his siblings; Steve & Meredith, John & Wendy, Sally and Brad & Jana Dodds. His great spirit and wry smile will be missed. A celebration of Dave's life will be held at Tracyton Public House Saturday, the 14th 3pm to 6pm potluck. His ashes to be set adrift in the ocean off Kona with his fathers.
