David C Feinberg
September 9th, 1943 - June 27th, 2024
David C. Feinberg, 80 years old, passed away on June 27th, 2024 at Soulistic Hospice, in Tucson, AZ, due to natural causes.
David was born on September 9th, 1943 to parents Phillip and Cecilia Feinberg. He enjoyed being part of a “car club” for kids in his early years. David had a deep love for Harley motorcycles, a passion that brought him great joy. He lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and a genuine sense of humor. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, he carried the discipline and camaraderie learned in service throughout his career as a middle and high school teacher. He touched the lives of many students, igniting a love for learning and imparting wisdom through both his lessons and character.
David married his wife, Linda, in San Francisco on October 28th, 1998.
With an education that began at Drake and culminated in a degree from San Francisco State, David was well-prepared for his role as an educator. His colleagues and students will remember him not only for his knowledge, but for his unwavering kindness and consideration. David was known for his ability to brighten any room with his stories and jokes. Often, these were “old man” jokes passed down from his father, as well as tall tales of his life that captivated all who listened.
David is predeceased by his sister: Helen Feinberg (1995). He is survived by his wife: Linda, married 27 years (of Tucson), his daughters: Amy (of California) and Sasha (of Washington), his son: Alec Bentley (of Washington), his grandchildren: Briann and Connor (of Westlake) and Ember (of Washington), his sister: Janece Rohwer (of Iowa), and his dogs: Toulie and Lovey (of Tucson).
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona or the Tucson Community Food Bank.
In keeping with David wishes, no formal service will be held.
