David J. Fox

"Three Rivers - David John Fox, 80, died on September 2, 2019 at home surrounded by his devoted family. Born December 30, 1938 in Palmer, he was the son of William J. and Florence (Calhoun) Fox. He lived most of his life in Monson, moving to Three Rivers 5 years ago. Dave worked as a store manager and department manager for various grocery stores, including Food Basket in E. Longmeadow and Palmer. He managed the Dairy Mart in Palmer and retired from Armatas. He loved his flower gardens, his yard and woodworking, but most of all, time with his family, including his many vacations to New Hampshire and Disney. In his later years, he enjoyed following his grandson's sports of roller hockey, football and wrestling. He will be deeply missed by his wife of nearly 60 years, Carol A. (Rich) Fox, along with his 2 daughters, Denise Tarr and her husband Chris of Three Rivers, and Desiree Dewey and husband Wayne of Monson. He also leaves a granddaughter Danyelle Maddox of Sheffield, MA and his grandson and "best bud" Eric Davey of Boston, MA and his grand dog, Charlie.
