David Gilbert Garcia, 86, of Pine Grove, CA passed away August 5, 2024. He was born on October 1, 1937, in Pecos, New Mexico to Blas and Dolores (Dean) Garcia.
David is survived by his wife, Marie Garcia. His Children; Shelly Boxx (Mark), David J. Garcia, Gregory Garcia, Lisa Garcia (Eric Heinitz), 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
David graduated from Hayward High School in 1955. He loved wrestling and continued to be on the team one year at CalPoly, San Luis Obispo. He worked in the newspaper printing field for 40 years, mostly at the Oakland Tribune. He started by sweeping floors and worked his way up to supervisor of the entire press room.
He met his wife Marie at a dance. They were married in 1990 and danced throughout their long life together. After David retired, he and Marie Traveled around the US in their RV visiting 38 states and part of Canada. They settled in Pine Grove where he lived out the remainder of his life, surrounded by his loving family.
