He was a SP-5 E-5 in the United States Army stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky as well as Fort Ord. He attended Hartnell Community College from 1975 to 1989. David attended Southern Bible College in 1979 and becamean ordained minister, a calling he held dear to his heart. He worked at Hartnell College as Purchasing Agent and Warehouse manager from 1970, until his medical retirement in 1999. His most cherished job however was his church and volunteering to help anyone in need. He was assistant Pastor of Grace Temple for several years, then assistant Pastor of Oak Park Community Church now known as Celebration Worship Center. He also served as Youth Pastor for many years and continued to minister to the younger generation. Pastor Gee spent his time serving others as God directed him to, and this led him to head up the food ministry for his church, he received great joy in helping families in needs. Pastor Gee was everyone's Uncle David, Pastor Gee, Grandpa and a friend to everyone he met. He enjoyed his designated family time whether it be the family bowling team or the Tuesday night dinners with his grandchildren. When you asked him how he was doing you were always met with "much better now that I've seen you" He touched so many lives with his enormous heart and generous till it hurt nature. He is going to be missed by so many here, but we will all rejoice together when he meets us in heaven with his huge arms open and famous bear hug greeting us at the gates of heaven! We Entrusted David Gee's Care To
Healey Mortuary
At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
