David Goldberg

David Henry Goldberg, 71, of Thornton, Colorado passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, September 15, 2017. Born in Pontiac, Michigan to Charlotte and Leo Goldberg, he lived in many parts of the US including Connecticut, Arizona, and Colorado. David worked as an ASHA Speech and Language Pathologist, mostly in elementary schools, in Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York and Arizona until retirement in 2006. At an early age, David was passionate about playing hockey and guitar. He played varsity hockey at the University of Massachusetts. He learned to play guitar at an early age, had a rock and roll band in college, shared his gift in worship bands into his 60s and loved to entertain family and friends throughout his life. He passed his talent and love for music and guitar to children and grandchildren. He was a loving, dedicated family man who appreciated active living. He enjoyed tennis, racket ball, hiking, biking, water skiing, and anything active with his friends, kids, and grandkids. Looking for a deeper meaning to a life of hope, he chose to follow Jesus as an Evangelical Christian in 1982. He was active in churches where he lived with worship and discipleship. David is survived by his wife and best friend, Margaret “Marney” nee Stone. He was extremely proud of his children; daughter Sheri (Robert) Collins of Thornton, and Adam Goldberg of Arvada and, grandchildren Nate, Corey and Caitlyn Collins and Caleb Goldberg all in the Denver area. Also surviving are a brother, Edward of Tucson, cousins, nieces, grandnieces, and grandnephews as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
