David Haro Rodriquez, 81, was called home to the Lord on the evening of June 12th, 2021 with his family by his side. David was born on August 21st, 1939 in the small town of Santa Rosa, Zacatecas, Mexico. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1959 via the Bracero Program. During his first years in the U.S. he worked at orange and date farms, he also worked in Colorado and Northern California. David was not only a farmer, but a lifelong learner, who enjoyed the challenge of fixing any problem he encountered, including maintaining his tractor, farm equipment and a Nissan Datsun pick-up that he drove for over 30 years. Later in life he discovered a love for golf, joined the Bidwell Park Golf course as a member and was happiest playing alongside his sons, grandsons and friends. He was an avid gardener who grew tomatoes, squash, chile peppers, and various fruit varieties. He loved sharing the food he grew with family and friends. Finally, he spent much of the last 12 years as a caregiver for two young grandchildren who adored him and his warm bowls of creamy oatmeal.
