David Charles Harrison

David Charles Harrison of Berthoud, Colorado passed away on February 13, 2020. Dave was born on July 21, 1951 in Fremont, Nebraska to Richard and Laurene Harrison. After graduating from Fremont High School, he served in the United States Air Force as an air traffic controller during the Vietnam War. After his service, Dave became an accomplished pilot and spent a number of years as a charter pilot, private instructor, aerobatics instructor and tow pilot. Dave also worked as an air traffic controller, truck driver, insurance adjuster and was involved in other business ventures as well. Dave enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping, horse riding, cowboying and hunting and was always known for his barbeque skills. No one ever left his camp hungry! He truly cherished his family and friends…he was a generous friend to all. With a joke always at the ready, Dave was able to crack a smile out of just about anyone and had an ability to brighten any occasion. Dave is survived by his sons Ron Harrison of Berthoud, Colorado and Rob Harrison of Frederick, Colorado; his grandkids Jordan Harrison, Tanner Harrison and Ava Harrison; siblings Richard Harrison (Barb) and Mary Zlomke (Mike) of Nebraska; nephews Christopher Harrison (Shannon) and Harrison Zlomke (Laura); nieces Kelly Miller (Josh) and Lauren Ruwe (Billie) all of Nebraska. Prior to Dave’s passing, he requested that in lieu of a memorial services, that a Celebration of Life be held at a later date. Services at a later date
