July 29th, 1955 - September 20th, 2012
Mr. David G. Hohenforst of Clifton Park passed away unexpectedly at his residence September 20, 2012. He was born in Gloversville on July 29, 1955, graduating from Gloversville High School in 1973. He worked at UPS until his retirement on December 1, 2010. David was an avid Yankees and New York Giants fan and loved hiking, walking, working out and spending time with Lorraine and her family. He is survived by his father, Raymond Hohenforst Millie of Florida; his brothers James Hohenforst Nicolette of Amsterdam and Dewitt Dorn of Florida; sisters: Debbie King of Johnstown and Lori Greer Anthony of Florida; stepson Nicholas Marra; granddaughter Brianne Marra; Lorraine Sleezer Hohenforst, his ex-wife and best friend, along with several nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his mother, Doris Roberts Stangle. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, September 24 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County YMCA, 213 Harrison St; Johnstown, NY 12095 or to the American Heart Assoc; 440 New Karner Rd; Albany, NY 12205 or to the charity of your choice.
