David Christopher Horner
November 22nd, 1966 - December 16th, 2018
David Christopher Horner died suddenly December 16, 2018 after a brief illness, surrounded by family and friends. David was born in Tucson, Arizona on November 22, 1966 to Harry and Catherine Horner. He worked as a Bun packer for Rainbo/Earthgrains Baking Company for 14 years before going back to school to become a Medical Assistant, and finally a Certified Nursing Assistant. He married his wife Michele (Barber) Horner on January 11, 1997. Little did he know that she was the granddaughter of an older lady that he sold prayer candles to for many years as an altar server at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. David is survived by his wife Michele; son, Matthew, and daughter, Kali; brothers: Barry (Pam), Steve (Zenda), and Pat (Colleen); sisters: Cathy (Jon) and Sue (Paul); half-brothers: Danny (Michelle); and Darryl; half-sister: Dianna (Don); and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass in David’s honor will be held at 2:00 pm , December 21, 2018 at St. Pius the X Catholic Church at 1800 N Camino Pío Décimo, Tucson, AZ 85715, with a “tree trimming” and reception to follow. The family would like to thank all the great and attentive staff and Physicians at Tucson Medical Center, especially the 480 unit staff. In Lieu of flowers, please donate in David’s name to: Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation or The American Cancer Society. He will be missed by all, but live in our hearts forever.
