David Allen Houck

David Allen Houck was born in Oakland, California on January 17, 1964. David passed from our world on January 3, 2019. He lived the beginning of his life in Fremont, California, playing little league baseball. He then moved to Corning and finished his education. David was a kind, loving, and gentle man. He also adored his only son. Because of his loving nature, David was close with his family, including his mother Leslie, his siblings Sherry Lynn, John, and David Allen, his aunts, his nieces and nephews, and his many cousins. They will all miss him and the light he shone into their lives. David was a simple man; he enjoyed work, his truck, family, friends, and the simpler things in life like cooking, fishing, video games, and watching sports. David Allen was very proud of his job at Rolling Hills Casino. He worked there for over 13 years, rising through the ranks to become a prep cook. Customers would even come when they knew he was working to have him wait on them. His absence there will be sorely missed by customer and employee alike. A memorial service for David will be held at the Casa de Flores clubhouse in Chico, on January 26th, at 1 o’clock.
