David Kaminsky
July 17th, 1963 - May 15th, 2023
On Monday, May 15, 2023, David Kaminsky passed in St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fl. He was surrounded by immediate family. He was the beloved husband of Carol Kaminsky of Gulfport, FL, son of the late Ellen Achtmeyer Kaminsky and late Joseph Kaminsky, brother of Karen Kaminsky Ryan of Stratford, CT and father of Joseph Kaminsky of Arlington, VA. David is also survived by his Brother-in-law Patrick Ryan, niece Kasey Ryan, and nephew Michael Ryan. David grew up in Stratford, Ct. He graduated in 1981 from Platt Technical High School in Milford, CT. During the summers, he marched with the Bridgemen Drum and Bugle Corps of Bayonne, NJ, where he played triple drums. He was most proud of being a part of the 1982 Top Drumline in the country. In 1985, He earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Bridgeport, CT. His career started in Public Accounting with KPMG Peat Marwick. He progressed to a Controller position with DPF Group in Montvale, NJ. Then he went to work for GE Capital where in worked in various Divisions throughout the U.S. and Germany as a Divisional CFO. After leaving GE Capital, He worked as a CFO for Altegrity, Keane, Inc., NTT Data, Inc., Vidyo, Inc and IQor. He retired from IQor, St. Petersburg, Fl in 2021. Dave specialized in Restructuring, Mergers and Acquisitions, Offshoring Businesses. During retirement, Dave enjoyed yachting, cooking, and playing the guitar.
