David Kirby, 58, of St. Petersburg, FL, went home to be with the Lord Friday, April 6, 2012. David moved to St. Petersburg in 1953 from his native Barnesville, GA and was a 1971 graduate of Boca Ciega High School. He was a sales engineer. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; 2 sons, Kirk and Nathan Kirby; his parents, Betty and Walter Kirby; 1 sister, Judy (Bruce) Blackburn all of St. Petersburg; and a niece and nephew, Stacey and Shawn. He was predeceased by Marilyn Lam and Cynthia Kirby both from Cystic Fibrosis. He then lobbied for state assistance for Cystic Fibrosis patients and was successful in getting $100,000.00 placed into the state budget. Visitation 5:00 P.M. to service time at 7:00 P.M.
