David John Lewis, 77, of Palm Coast, FL, passed away on November 24, 2022. LEGACY Dave was born on July 18, 1945, in Camden NJ, to the late William David Lewis and Marion (Rimsite) Lewis and was the younger brother of William Lewis (deceased), Marianne Carberry (deceased) and Madeline Horchak. He grew up in Collingswood NJ, and spent summers fishing at the family house in Chincoteague Island, VA. He graduated from Camden Catholic High School with varsity letters in basketball and track. Dave proudly served his country as a member of the Air Force, K-9 unit, including a tour of combat in Vietnam where he was stationed at Bien Hoa. Following his time in the military, He proudly served customers for years as owner of Anchor Seafood, family restaurant and retail business, in Camden, Clementon and Medford Lakes, New Jersey, before bringing his seafood expertise and culinary creativity to Zallie Corporation to lead their seafood and commissary businesses. Dave happily retired to Palm Coast, FL, where he was able to soak up the sun and salt air, lower his handicap, fish off the Double D and apply his artistic ingenuity sculpting marine and wildlife with his trusted pvc, duct tape and spray paint. FAMILY Dave is survived by wife of 27 years Donna Lewis; daughter, Jennifer Peterman (James); son, David Lewis Jr (Tatiana); daughter Stephanie Lamberti (Giuseppe); daughter, Melissa Engelhardt (Roger); proud grandfather of, Jimmy, Jack, Jessica and Jillian Peterman, Lucas Monte Alto, Luca Lamberti and Amber Engelhardt. FAREWELL CEREMONY Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Theresa of Calcutta Parish at St. John Church, 809 Park Ave, Collingswood, NJ 08108 on January 13, 2023, at 11:00 AM where there will be a visiation beginning at 10:15 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center online at VA's E-Donate or by sending a check (payable to "North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System” to: Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, Center for Development and Civic Engagement/135, 1601 S.W.
