David William Mack

David W. Mack Dave went to be with the Lord from his home in Littlerock, Washington, on August 15, 2012. He was born July 25, 1942 in Olympia, Washington to Robert and Ruth Mack. He attended North Thurston High School and Olympia High School where he graduated in 1960. He served in the U.S. Army on the 30th Parallel in Korea as a Military Police, and later in the K-9 Corp. He worked as a campus police at Central Washington University, and as a correctional officer at Shelton Correction Center, Monroe State Prison, Salem Correction Center, and Cedar Creek Correction Center in Littlerock, Washington, where he retired in 2007. Dave was well liked by both the staff and the inmates because he was fair and respectful. Dave loved western and gospel music, especially Merle Haggard. He had a beautiful singing voice and could sing every word perfectly to all of Merle Haggard’s songs. He loved God and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Gary Mack who was killed in Vietnam; and recently by his companion of 25 years, Roberta Rose. He is survived by three brothers, Robert (Jean) Mack of Olympia, Douglas Mack of Olympia, and Keith Mack of Greely Colorado.
