David Maestas

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we share the passing of David Maestas. David passed away on Sunday, August 23rd, at the age of 74. He will be remembered by his wife Joann Maestas, his children Josett, Jeremy, Michelle, David Jr as well as his son in laws: Charles Romero, David Otero and daughter in law Marisol and his grandchildren Cierra, Jonathan, Gabriella, Domonique, Jaden, Nazareth, Ezra, Uziah and seven great grandkids. His surviving siblings are Mary, John, Steve, Tommy and Charlie. He is proceeded in death by his parents Dave and Nora Maestas, his brothers Albert and Ray Maestas, and his sister Roseanne Montoya. David retired from Mor-Co Battery in 2007 after 44 years of service. He was a Rifle Sharpshooter in the Army National Guard, which explains his good aim with the paper towel balls he would throw at his kids and grandkids. He was known to be a prankster as well as his love for his Familia. He will be laid to rest on Saturday, September 5th, at Fairview, Cemetery; following the Prayer Services that will begin at 10:00 am – 10:30 am at St. Charles Catholic Church. Please wear mask, remember to social distance at the church and cemetery. Due to COVID we will not be having a reception following the services.
