David Michael Malarchik

September 1st, 1952 - July 9th, 2024

David Michael Malarchik passed away unexpectedly at the age of 71. 

The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. 

 

Born September 1, 1952 in Beaver Falls, PA the son of Nicholas and Kathleen Malarchik. He is survived by three sisters Nancy Cooke (Roy), Kathleen Emelianoff, Margaret Malarchik and two brothers Nicholas (Linda) and John (Heidi) Malarchik as well as many nieces and nephews. 

 

As a young man David was a skilled athlete, leading his high school soccer and basketball teams and was the star pitcher on the baseball team at Mascenic Regional HS in New Ipswich, New Hampshire. His senior year he was selected as the "athlete of the year". He enjoyed NASCAR events and remained an avid soccer fan throughout his life, particularly enjoying watching English premier league matches. 

 

Dave was a US Air Force veteran serving as an electronics technician on the legendary SR-71 supersonic aircraft. In civilian life Dave worked as an electrician in the construction industry in central Arizona. Later, after relocating to the Tampa, Florida region he was employed in light industrial manufacturing including the use of laser technology in the production of precision surgical instruments and prosthetics. Semi-retired, Dave remained active working in landscaping at the exclusive Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, as well as at the manufactured housing and RV park where he resided. Dave's hobbies included riding his bicycle all over the Clearwater, Fla. area and working on his classic automobiles
