Mr. David E. Mancini, age 55, of Gloversville, died Saturday morning, November 30, 2013 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, with his family at his side. He was born March 22, 1958 in Gloversville, the son of Anne Ruggiero Mancini and the late Ferdinand Mancini. He sold real estate and provided mortgage refinancing over the years. For 36 years he worked as a counselor for the NYS Division for Youth at Tryon Center. David was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. He enjoyed boating and spending time at his camp at Caroga Lake. He was an avid Boston Red Sox baseball fan. He is survived by: his wife, Cristine L. Hoyer Mancini, whom he married on March 20, 1987; two daughters: Tracy Mancini of Gloversville and Kristin Cassidy Tim of Fort Johnson; his mother, Anne Mancini of Gloversville; two brothers and a sister: Thomas Mancini, Richard Mancini Pat and Maria Dolder Rick, all of Gloversville. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Merella Aldi, Michael Cassidy and Ava Cassidy, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, December 2nd at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a prayer service will follow at 12:00 with the Very Rev. Donald Czelusniak officiating. Interment will take place in the springtime at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Nathan Littauer Foundation, 99 E. State St; Gloversville, NY 12078.
