David Thomas McKinnon
March 24th, 1974 - May 25th, 2018
David Thomas McKinnon was born on March 24, 1974. On May 25, 2018 he left to be with the Lord. David was a hardworking man with a heart of pure gold. He walked this Earth with a mission, with purpose, to help those in need without expecting anything in return. David was a man who cherished his family and dear friends, He was full of life, laughter and love. A man of great integrity. He didn't long for the finer things; he was rich because he was humble. He was a simple man. He didn't want or ask for much. He found beauty in nature…the shadows in the sky; the light of the moon. An avid fisherman, he became one with the water. He enjoyed the peace that came with it along with the thrill at the same time. His hands were weathered but strong and gentle. He built a life and home for his family, he fixed what was in need of repair and comforted us when we cried. He is home now. And we all should take comfort in knowing there is no need to cry for long. He is whole again. David is free. David leaves to cherish memories of him: his wife, Rica, his children, Brianne and Jarren, his mother and father, Kathy and Bill Segall, his brother, Sean, his uncles and aunts, Steve and Karen, Christine and Tony, Ellen and John, Wayne and Diane and Keith, his father-in-law, Robin, his mother and stepfather-in-law, Sharon and Daryel Kelly, brothers and sister-in-law, Jarren, James, and Kiara, and preceded in death by his dad, Thomas David McKinnon and his grandmother, Sophia, along with all friends who knew him. Our beloved David will be cherished and dearly missed.
