April 29th, 1964 - April 3rd, 2024

On Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024, David Anthony Moreau, beloved father, brother, and husband passed away in Tucson Arizona, after a long battle with his physical health. He was preceded in death by his son Jordin and his son-in-law Cody. It is with heavy hearts that his family announces his passing. David was born in San Francisco, CA. on April 29th, 1964. He married his beloved wife Patricia in 2010. David was a teacher for over 20 years, teaching for the last decade on the Navajo Reservation at Tuba City High School, where he was adored by staff and students alike. He served as both the head of the math department and football coach and was inducted into the Tuba City High School Football Hall of Fame. David was a cherished friend, strong mentor, and big softy as described by those who loved him. He is survived by nine of his children, (Annaleah, Jeffery, Wendy, Angel, Melody, Nicole, Ashley, Joshua, and Johnathan), 12 grandchildren, his wife Patricia Moreau, and his 3 younger siblings (Kathleen, Andrew, and Thomas). The pain of this loss is tremendous and overwhelming, but the family is doing all they can to hold strong together remembering the often-spoken words of David. “When you fall, get back up.” We fight on as the mighty warriors he would have wanted us to be. Services for David A. Moreau will be on Saturday, April 13, 2024, as follows; 10:30 am - Catholic Funeral Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 8615 W. Peoria, Peoria AZ 85345. 12pm - Reception to follow at Sun Air Estates Rec Center, 9600 N. 97th Lane, Peoria, AZ 85345. I am touched to see the photos of my dear cousin David and family. He certainly made the most of his too short life. His strength, courage, and hearty laugh will be missed by many. We Sloand cousins will cherish our memories of Dave at the farm family reunions over the years - his goofiness, kindness, listening ear, and oh so many stories. My deepest condolences to all your loving family.

🕯️ Heartfelt condolences! My wife Wendy and I taught in Tuba city for the public school from 1981 to 2001 and we were very good friends with Judy but I hardly knew her sons. Our loved ones live on in our fond memories.

🕯️ David was an exceptional person. His enthusiasm for life was contagious, as well as the humility he displayed as a great leader. For, it was not uncommon for him to encourage others to their full potential. My best memories of him are as a friend, classmate, and Parishioner at St. Jude CC. The TCHS Class of 1982 was definitely BLESSED to have him as our “Warrior.” His display of strength, endurance, resilience, and work ethic is commending and inspiring to all. He also had a great sense of humor, great smile and his friendship will be truly cherished by all. To the Moreau family … THANK YOU sharing him with us all, over the years! You will all be in our thoughts and prayers in the days to come. Respectfully Diane Jenkins/Jenkins Family

Patricia and family, our deepest most sincere condolences. David was loved by thousands of people. We were remembering all the laughter, the fun, and happy times we all shared in school! Our class was like one huge family, and his nickname was "Grandpa." We still called him that even in later years after high school and he always answered. David would bend over backwards to help anyone in need. He loved teaching as well as coaching! Our powder puff football team had the best coaches haha! I can still hear him asking certain students to race with him and he was in a wheelchair! To our knowledge, he never let his accident get him down! At work, David always had a smile, no matter what was going on. God be with you all. David will truly be missed. Love you all, Amos, Mary (Lawton), Jake, and Nathalie Beard
