David Joseph Nelson, 58, of Ione, CA, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 24, 1960 in Fremont, CA to his parents, Harry and Lavonne Nelson. David was a chef for thirty years; he loved cooking and worked at numerous restaurants. He was a longtime resident of Amador County, and enjoyed disc golf, fishing, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his mother, Lavonne Nelson; sisters, Denise Gatto and Linda Powers; and brothers, Guy Nelson, Randy Nelson, Eric Nelson, and Paul Nelson. David was preceded in death by his father, Harry Nelson. Private services will be held at a later date.
