David Ogburn
October 14th, 1935 - November 1st, 2015
David Ogburn, 80, of Patrick Air Force Base, FL, passed away on November 1, 2015. He was born on October 14, 1935 in Rock Island, IL to the late Everett and Mary (Walker) Ogburn. David served his country honorably in the United States Army, served two tours in Vietnam and retiring as a Staff Sergeant. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and DAV. David also worked as a Fire Chief and Household Goods Inspector. Some of his passions included fishing, antiquing at flea markets, his pets, traveling, driving and enjoying his time with friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years; Sharon, 4 daughters; Teresa LaGrave, Sherry Scharer, Carolyn Gustafson, and Christina Morley, siblings; Marcella, Phyllis, William, Gary, and Calvin, and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren and family. Visitation hours will be held at Beach Funeral Homes - East, Indian Harbour Beach, on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 6-8pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the St. Georges South Patrick Chapel, 854 Harrier Ave. Satellite Beach, FL 32937 on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11am. David will be buried with full military honors at 2:30pm on Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Florida National Cemetery in Ocala, Florida. <
