David Paul Parks passed away on September 25th 2020 at the age of 75 in Westminster Colorado. He was born on November 3, 1944 in Denver, Colorado. David was an avid athlete and sportsman with a love for both baseball and football. He was a star athlete in both sports at Wheat Ridge High School. Following high school, David graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in sports education. David was an Army Veteran and served 1 tour in Vietnam. He worked as a Purchasing and Supply Coordinator at Bellco Credit Union until his retirement in 2007. David loved cheering on the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies. He loved the mountains, hummingbirds (especially that pesky Rufous Hummingbird) , and Indian Paintbrush. David was a meticulous handyman that loved chocolate. He was a kind, gentle and patient person, and we always knew he loved us. He will be remembered for his bright smile and quick wit. He is preceded in death by his mother Wilma Mondragon, father Paul Parks, and oldest sister, Connie Swenson. He is survived by his sister Linda Damicus, wife Bonnie Parks, his daughters Stephanie Munholland (Dale), and Briana Smith (Steve) and his 4 grandchildren Ayden, Cameron, Tanner, and Alexa. He will be missed and remembered fondly. David†™s service will be held at 11:15 am on October 14th at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, Colorado. If you wish to attend, line up by 11:00 in staging area C. Reception will follow at 8760 Alta Vista Drive, Arvada. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations you wish to the Parkinson†™s Association of the Rockies.
