David Allen Phillips, Sr, 86 passed away May 30, 2023. He was born August 25, 1936 to the late Earle J. Phillips, Sr. and C. Louisa Doscher. David served in the United States Air Force and worked for Charleston School Bus Shop for over 25 years. He was a former member of Push Rod Club and SCV- Camp #2222. He attended Summerville Church of God. Survivors include his loving wife, Ann Jackson Phillips; two sons, David Jr. and Earle (Melissa); sisters, Joan Charpia (Harold), Margaret (Buddy) Puckhaber; sister in law, Novalene Jackson; beloved pet beagle, Ginger; eight grandchildren, David Allen, Heather, Lee Ann, Joshua, Amanda, Bradley, Allen, T.J.; nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by three brothers, Charles, E.J. (Evelyn) and Louis (Ethel); two sons Robbie and Ray Phillips and daughter in law, Kelli Phillips; brother in law, Rev. Ronald Jackson, Sr. A gravside will be held at a later date at Live Oak Memorial Gardens with Rev. Steve Hartsell, Rev. Ronald Jackson, Jr. and Rev. David Jackson officiating. The family would like to thank Agape and Pruitt Health for their compassion especially Jessica and Marcus.
