Online Obituaries for Lexington Pitts, David Dave Alan, 87, died peacefully at Veterans Medical Center (Hospice) on November 9, 2016. He was born in Covington, KY to Franklin and Franklin and Emma Hardin Pitts, and brother to the late Robert Pitts. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Edna Marquette Pitts; daughter Linda (Bruce) Chapman, Louisville; son Dan (Paula) Frederick, MD; grandchildren Nicci, Lindsay, Monica (Matt) Jordan, and Cameron; great grandchildren Reagan, Kayla, Chloe, and August. David graduated from Holmes High School in Covington, KY and after graduation joined the Army Corps of Engineers serving 2 frac12; years in Korea. He then attended the University of Bowling Green in Bowling Green, Ohio where he played basketball for 2 years. He was an avid golfer and was a member of Spring Valley Country Club for many years. He loved working in his yard and took great pride in it. He was also a great UK football and basketball fan and volunteered in the 101 club for many years. He was sales manager for Nabisco in Lexington for 35 years. Funeral Information A Celebration of Life will be held 5:00pm 8:00pm, Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing. A private family service will be held at the Scattering Garden in Lexington Cemetery.
