DAVID "PAPA" POTTER age 63 of Helenville passed away Thursday September 29, 2011, at the Rainbow Hospice Care Center in Johnson Creek. He was born on January 30, 1948 in North Adams MA, son of the late David and Dorothy (Russell) Potter. He married Donna DiCristo on July 31, 1972 in LasVegas NV. David owned and operated American Family General Contracting. He also enjoyed the outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. David loved music and performing and his band the Potters Marauders was well known in the area. He will be deeply missed by his wife Donna, his children; Dana (Donovan) Deegan of Appleton, Echo (Jeff) Steinke of Johnson Creek, and Nick Potter of Helenville. His grandchildren; Macie Huckabay, Mason Huckabay, Ashley Writzmann, and Amanda Deegan, and one great-grandson Hunter Berndt. His sister; Marion "Mitzie" Ebbeson of Bullhead City AZ Sister in law Diane DiCristo of Wauwatosa Many nieces, nephew, other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father in law, and Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday October 4, 2011 at the White Stone Community Church 2517 N Dousman Rd, in Oconomowoc. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Schneider-Michaelis Funeral home in Jefferson is assisting the family with arrangements.
