DAVID EDGAR PUTNAM Lake Stevens – David E. Putnam died peacefully on April 23, 2018 in his home at the age of 83. He was born April 8, 1935 in Tacoma, WA to Edgar G. and Doris M. (Hull) Putnam. Dave graduated from Seattle’s Roosevelt High School, Class of 1953. Following graduation, Dave served with the U.S. Army in Korea shortly after the Korean War hostilities ended (1955-1957.) After returning from military service, he met and married Susan K. (Anderson), on October 4th, 1958 in Seattle, WA. Dave attended the University of Washington and majored in Electrical Engineering. While he was identifying as a Husky, he captained the University’s Freshman rowing crew as part of his extracurricular activities. Dave also received his MBA in Organizational Behavior at the UW. In additional to his parents, Dave was predeceased by his beloved wife Susan, his brother Thomas C. Putnam, and his son, Michael T. Putnam. Dave is survived by his son Jeffrey D. and his wife, Mary (Hyde) of Idaho Falls, ID; his son Gregory C. and his wife, Nancy (Sebers), of Lake Stevens, WA; his daughter Michelle and her husband, Daniel Elenbaas, of Woodinville, WA; his daughter Jennifer and her husband, James Barnes, of Lake Stevens, WA; and his daughter Kathleen and her husband, Michael Dean, from Bothell, WA. Dave is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints / Lake Stevens Building on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 at 11:30 am. The address of the church building is 10120 Chapel Hill Road, Lake Stevens, WA 98258. Interment will be at Abbey View Memorial Park in Brier, WA. Flowers should be sent to Beck’s Funeral Home at 405 5th Ave S. in Edmonds, WA. If so desired, donations should be directed to Providence Hospice and Home Care Foundation, Snohomish County.
