David Ignatius Sampino

David Ignatius Sampino was born on May 21, 1968 in San Francisco, CA. He grew up there and moved to Sacramento, CA in 1995 at 27 years old. He went to be with Jesus January 21, 2021 at 52 years old. David was a loving Husband to Chantel and a wonderful Father to his son Gavin. He is survived by his Mother Linda, Aunt Theresa, Uncle Bill, Aunt Renee, Gavin's mother Monica and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends He was a soft-spoken man who had a very unique sense of humor that came out at unexpected times. He was a man with a big heart who loved to give gifts and surprise people. If he found out you loved something, he would get it and it would be the next gift you got from him. David loved History. He participated in many Civil War Reenactments over the years. He made many close friends during that time. He loved his family. He would keep up the tradition passed on from his Grandparents of big family dinners. He would make huge pots of Italian Gravy (spaghetti sauce), and his grandmas’ famous meatballs. Fatherhood was David's biggest joy. He was always so proud of his son, always excited by all that Gavin achieves. Besides fatherhood another passion of his was his work as a Disaster relief loan officer. He helped many people, who had been thru hurricane’s and tornados, to get low interest loans to help put their lives back together.
