David Wayne Stril

Dave Wayne Stril, born April 25, 1949, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in University Place. Dave was born in Puyallup, WA to Mary Sophie (Ostofichuk) Stril and Julian D. Stril. Dave graduated from Sumner HS in 1967. Dave worked as a mechanic during the day, while attending trade school for his apprenticeship. He worked at several Chrysler dealerships, receiving his certification from Chrysler as a Master Mechanic; before he went on to finish a 23 year career at Tacoma Public Utilities Division as a heavy equipment mechanic. The Stril family is grateful to Franciscan Hospice in University Place for their dedicated care of Dave. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Julian Stril, and brother, Julian John Stril. He leaves behind his mother, Mary Stril, two sisters; Nicolette (Michael) Lesh and Valerie (Norman) Behling; two brothers, Gary (Marsha) Stril and Mark Stril; nieces, nephews and many long time friends. Services are pending.
