David Allen VanWey
July 12th, 1961 - June 30th, 2024
David Allen VanWey, 62, of Little Mountain, SC, passed away on June 30, 2024. Born in 1961 to the late Frank Robert VanWey and Gloria Phyllis Breitman, David served his country in the US Air Force, and retired as a Master Sergeant after 21 years of service. After retirement, he enjoyed a second career as a Physical Therapy Assistant. David was a beloved husband, father, stepfather, and friend whose life was full of sacrifices for his family and others. The love and laughter he shared will never be forgotten, and he will be missed by all that loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Tafta VanWey; daughter, Jessica VanWey; stepdaughters, Heather Dominick, Kamryn Dominick; stepson, Noah Dominick; brothers, Charles D. VanWey and Frank R. VanWey.
A memorial service, with full U.S. Air Force honors, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the VanWey family.
