Dawn F. Strickland

Dawn F. Strickland went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 15th, 2018 after passing peacefully at home. She was born September 15, 1937 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Margaret and Paul Kegresse. She married the love of her life, Jackie Strickland, on April 17th, 1960 and they had 3 daughters. They moved to Woodland Park, CO in 1973 and moved to Peyton, CO in 1991. She worked for the United States Postal Office for 25+ years and retired in 2000. Dawn lived life to the fullest she enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and 4-legged critters. She loved her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as, her many, many friends! She also loved "her" Denver Broncos, playing bingo, and trips to Cripple Creek and Las Vegas. She was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her daughters, Dawna (Stan) Schawe, Tammy Kelly (Jerry), Carole Strickland (Johnny); six grandchildren Cody, Brandon, Amber, David, Dana 7 great-grandchildren; her brothers Lee (Grace Ann) Kegresse and Bob (Nancy) Kegresse. Her daughters want to say a special heartfelt THANKS to Suncrest Hospice especially Natasha, Heather, Beth & Clessie for the amazing care and compassion they showed to their Mom (AND family). Family, friends and others whose lives were touched by Dawn, are invited to her Celebration of Life, on Friday, June 29th, at 4pm at Meridian Point Church in Falcon, CO (5450 N Meridian Rd. 80831).
