Mrs. Dean G. Honeycutt, 80, of Greensboro, died Monday, February 28, 2011, at Wesley Long Hospital. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, March 3rd at Lakeview Memorial Park with the Reverend Dianne Marsden officiating. Mrs. Honeycutt was born September 2, 1930 in Guilford County, to Dale and Mary Wyrick Gordon. She was a member of Carraway United Methodist Church, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed. Mrs. Honeycutt is survived by her husband of 61 years, Wilbur F. Honeycutt; son, Steven F. Honeycutt and wife Marilyn, of Greensboro; grandson, Steven F. Honeycutt II, of Greensboro; sister, Dorothy Truell, of Hollywood, FL; brothers, Dale L. Gordon, of Greensboro, William C. 'Bill' Gordon and wife Evelyn, of Hollywood, FL, and James F. 'Mick' Gordon, of Mt. Gilead. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home.
