Deborah "Debbie" R. Sanders
November 30th, 1955 - January 7th, 2024
Debbie was born in Reno, NV, on November 30, 1955, to Walter and Connie Ferguson. Debbie grew up in Yuba City, CA, and attended local schools and Yuba College. After graduating from high school Debbie was selected to represent Yuba City High School at the Future Business Leadership Conference in Washington, DC and was a candidate for the Governor's Scholars Award. Debbie had worked at various jobs locally after graduating from Jr. College, she then moved to Reno, NV, and worked at Club Cal-Nev as a cashier supervisor. She then moved back to Yuba City and worked for various state agencies. Because of Debbie's health problems she had to go on Social Security Disability. Debbie is preceded in death by her father, aunt, uncle and grandparents. She is survived by her mother, Connie Ferguson; son, Scott P. Ferguson (Jane) of Yuba City, CA; sister, Pamely Haessy of Novato, CA; ex-husband, William Sanders of which they maintain a good relationship over the past 35 years and provided care giving for each other. She also had 5 stepchildren, Cindy, William (Ron), Debbie Frigo, William Sanders (Corrina), Christina Nevarez (Paul), and Walter Sander. Debbie was and avid animal lover and loved to work in her yard. People would always remark on how she kept everything, Debbie will be interred in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Oroville, CA. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a monetary donation to Animal Ark Wildlife Sanctuary, 1265 Deerlodge Rd., Reno NV 89508 in Debbie's name.
