Debra Harris Boyer 1959-2022 Debra Marie (Harris) Boyer, 62, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 27, 2022. She suffered from early onset dementia. A service will be held Friday, February 25, 2022 in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery at 11:00am. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements. Debra was born on July 9, 1959 in Columbia, SC and was raised in West Columbia, SC where she attended Brookland-Cayce High School (class of 1977) and Winthrop University, before working at SCE&G in customer service for over 25 years. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Cayce, SC. She loved spending time scrapbooking memories of her family, enjoying beach vacations with family and friends, and spending quality time with family. Debra is survived by her parents, Richard and Mary Bush Harris; husband, Gus Boyer; sons, Erik Boyer (Joshua Beattie) and Chris Boyer (Karen); brother, Rick Harris (Kathy); sister, Rachel Peeples (Chuck); and many cousins, nieces, and nephews from both the Harris and Boyer families. Debra was an amazing daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, colleague and friend who will be missed dearly. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Joyce, Freda, Sandra and Lucy. The family also would like to thank the Prisma Hospice doctors, nurses and CNAs for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's/Dementia Society act.alz.org/donate
