Debra Brewer Thompson of Tampa, Florida passed away January 10, 2022. She was born in Savannah, Georgia and moved to Tampa, Florida from Weston, Florida in 2018. She was a member of the St. Boneventure Catholic Church with her kids and late husband John Patrick Thompson, Sr. in Weston, Florida. She was a loving wife, mother, and dear friend to many people. She attended Savannah High School and graduated from Armstrong State College, now part of Georgia Southern University, with a degree in psychology. She is preceded in death by her husband John Patrick Thompson Sr. and parents Joseph Spencer & Cecile Brewer. She is survived by her children, John Patrick Thompson Jr; Joseph Luke Thompson, Carrie Ann Thompson-Patrick and her husband John Denmark Patrick; her sisters, Marjorie Brewer Butler, Madeline Brewer Mangan, longtime friend Sharon Balser Kuntze; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Gage Thompson, Alyssa Rae Thompson, Kylie Ann Thompson, John Luke Patrick and Owen Thompson Patrick. Immediate family plans to have a small celebration of life at her home in Tampa on February 26, closest to what would be her 70th birthday. We respectfully ask those who attend be fully vaccinated and not exposed to COVID-19 in the coming weeks. For more information on the celebration, please contact carrie@care-comm.com.
