Debra "Deb" Ann Welsh

Debra “Deb” Ann Welsh passed away due to a sudden illness on March 15, 2024 in Bluffton, SC. She was 71. Deb was born on June 14, 1952 in Oak Hill, WV to her parents Sam and Josephine Blake. She was a 1970 graduate of Collins High School and a graduate of West Virginia Institute of Technology. In 1991 she married her soul mate and the love of her life Patrick Welsh. Deb was very active in her local community of Sun City, including tennis, card games and other community events. She was also a very involved member of her church and will be sorely missed. Deb is survived by her brother John (June) Blake of Oak Hill, WV. A special niece Stacey Blake-Boblett (Eddie) of Beckley, WV; her stepdaughters Beth Welsh of Huntington, WV and Amy Welsh Ross of Antioch, CA; nieces Teresa (Gordon) Evans of Fountain Inn, SC, and Tina (Karl) Roseblock of Oak Hill, WV, and nephew Jason (Rhonda) Blake, Fountain Inn, SC and her beloved dog, Layla. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Patrick. Deb was cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date in Bluffton where she will be placed to final rest next to her beloved Pat.
