Delbert BakerVENETA — A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at United Methodist Church in Eugene for Delbert Seeley Baker of Veneta, who died June 23 of pneumonia. He was 93.He was born Aug. 7, 1916, in Fullerton, Calif., to Seeley and Mary Ann Tingley Baker. He married Donna Walling on June 1, 1941, in Santa Ana, Calif.He received a degree from Fullerton Junior College in 1939. He served in the Army from 1945 to 1946 as a military officer in Rome and Iran. He worked as a civil engineer for the Marine Corps, retiring after 32 years.Survivors include his wife; three sons; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
