Delbert Leonard Milbrath
August 3rd, 1937 - September 9th, 2021
Delbert L Milbrath was born on August 3, 1937 at his home in Rost Township Minnesota. He was born and raised on his parents Dairy Farm. Delbert received his heavenly healing on September 9, 2021. He was 84, when he passed away from cancer, while at home, amongst loved ones. He was the youngest of 7 children. The family was very involved in their church when Del began singing at a young age. He continued his singing when they moved to Loveland, Colorado and joined Zion Lutheran Church in 1972. Delbert was in the Army National Guard for 10 years. While in Colorado he worked at Gibson Heating and Air Conditioning, sold real estate at Century 21, and then worked at Hewlett Packard-Merix. He then finished his years working at Kimball Precision where he retired at age 71. Del and his wife Naomi (Lucht) of 57 years then started travelling to Apache Junction Arizona where they wintered in their 5th wheel until this year. He enjoyed all of his church activities, deep sea fishing, playing softball, playing card games, especially with his grandkids, traveling, camping and tinkering with vehicles including his pride and joy a "66” Ford pickup. His favorite pastime was pitching horseshoes, at which he became very skilled. He was met in heaven by his mom, Antje, his father RG, two brothers, Ron and Ed, 3 sisters, Edith, Vi and Evelyn and his infant son, Troy. He also had a niece and nephew waiting for him and numerous other close relatives. His is survived by his family including his wife, Naomi (Lucht) his daughter Tyann and husband Kenton, and son Trent. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren, Maddie Janzen-Smith and her husband Travis Smith, Troy Milbrath, and Micah Janzen. His youngest survivor is his great-granddaughter Brinley, who was born on 8/21/21, exactly 100 years to the day after the birth of his only surviving sister, Pauline Rode. He is also survived by many close relatives. His celebration of life will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Loveland Colorado on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 10:30 AM. An outdoor luncheon will follow. The service will also be available on zoom at zionloveland.com. There will be service in Minnesota much later where is ashes will be buried next to his infant son Troy. (Masks are required in the indoor service, and will be optional for the outdoor luncheon)
