Della J. Farrell

Della J. Farrell, age 58, of County Highway 107, passed away Wednesday morning at her home with her loving family at her side. Born June 11, 1951 in Amsterdam, NY, she was the daughter of Shirley J. Doesburg Milano and the late Richard R. Farrell. She lived most of her life in the Perth area. Della was a 1969 graduate of Perth Central High School, she graduated from Oswego University with a Bachelor?s Degree in Math and later graduated with Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science from Missouri State University. She was first employed by the Union Pacific Railroad as a computer programmer and later Della worked as a computer analyst for Keane Inc. in Albany. Della enjoyed reading; gardening, traveling and loved having family gatherings at her home. Survivors include her mother, Shirley Doesburg Milano of the Town of Perth; step-mother, Barbara Farrell of Pensacola, FL; maternal grandmother, Bianca Doesburg of the Town of Mayfield; a brother, Clifford Farrell Mary of Saratoga Springs; four sisters, Toni Farrell Dan Nauman of Kewaskum, WI; Colleen Reynolds Roger of Bedford, MA; Robin Farrell of Meco, NY and Bonnie Farrell Tony Millington of Cambridge, NY; one niece; four nephews; several grandnieces and grand nephews. A legacy ceremony will be held on Wednesday, February 17th at 6:00 PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Burial of Della?s cremated remains will take place in spring at Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 6 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Della?s memory for cancer research to the Amsterdam Community Cancer Program, 1710 Riverfront center, Amsterdam, NY 12010 or to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
