Delmus Eli Marsh

DELMUS ELIMARSH, 85 AUBURNDALE - Mr. Delmus Eli Marsh, age 85 went home to be with the Lord Friday, September 20, 2013 at Kindred Hospital of South Tampa due to respiratory failure. Mr. Marsh was born April 16, 1928 in Statesboro, Georgia to William Eli and Lizzie Mae (Scott) Marsh. He moved to Auburndale with his family 75 years ago from Georgia. Delmus soon began a lifelong career at the Tampa Electric Company, after 42 years he retired as a senior line foreman. He deeply enjoyed dog hunting with family in the woods of the Ocala National Forest. He was a member of The Way at Inwood Baptist Church in Winter Haven for over 55 years. He was a generous and selfless person who loved his family and the Lord. Also he was an avid sports fan, especially that of the Winter Haven Blue Devils. He will be dearly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents. Delmus is survived by his loving family: wife of 62 years: Joann Marsh of Winter Haven, 3 sons: Delmus Lynn (Susan) Marsh, Stephen Lyle (Esther) Marsh, Dwight (Charlotte) Marsh, all of Winter Haven, 5 grandchildren: SaraJane Marsh of Winter Haven, Heather (Tyler) Sigler, Tyler Marsh, both of Lutz, Brittany (Ryan) Kuhn of Bartow, Brooke Marsh of Winter Haven, 4 great grandchildren: Brayden, Autumn, Aubrey & Ava. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, September 28, 2013 at The Way at Inwood Baptist Church, 1302 33rd St. NW Winter Haven. Visitation will be held before from 10:00 till 11:30 AM at the church. Interment will follow at the Auburndale Memorial Park.
