Macon, GA: Delores Simon Freeman, 73, passed away on December 23, 2011. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Mrs. Freeman was born in Wilson, NC. She was the daughter of the late Clifton and Louise Simon. She was also preceded in death by grandson Isaiah Alexander Freeman Butler. She had been a foster parent for many children in the past and she was also a former peace officer in New York for the Board of Education. Survivors include her children Jacquelynn Freeman Butler of Warner Robins, JoAnn King of Long Island, NY, Veronica Davis of Atlanta, Julius Franklin Freeman of WR, Henry Alexander Freeman of TX, Marie Antonia Allette of Warner Robins, sister Dorothy Atkins of NC, 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund @ 300 S. Davis Dr., Warner Robins, GA, 31088. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
