Delores "Stevens" Jeannie Newland
April 30th, 1943 - November 24th, 2017
Delores “Jeannie” Newland, 74, of Nampa died on Friday, November 24, 2017 at a Nampa care center of natural causes. Jeannie was born on April 30, 1943 to Reginald C. & Opal C. (Wells) Stevens. She was one of five children: Jerry, Ron, Roger and Regina Joy, born into the Stevens family. She attended and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1961. She married Raymond L. Newland in 1961 and they were blessed with four children: Gina, Dana, Tina, and Chuck. They would move a couple of times over their 50 years of marriage together, but settled back to Nampa/Caldwell Area. Jeannie worked for over 20 years with Gem Stop and Jackson Convenience Stores. She love to spend time with her family and enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and cooking. Jeannie is survived by her brothers: Ron (Barb) Stevens, Roger (Vickie) Stevens, Her children: Gina (Ed) Feller, Dana (Randy) Forrey, and Tina Maisey, 10 grand-children, 9 great-grandchildren, and many loved family members. Along with her best bud Teddy bear the dog. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Raymond L. Newland, Son, Chuck, brother, Jerry, and sister Regina Joy. We would like to Thank the good folks at Norco, Pro Care, Reddish Pharmacy and Medicap Pharmacy, the wonderful staff at Horizon Home Health and Hospice, especially to Jackelle, her social worker, Holly and Wendy, her RN’s, and to Toby, her Home/Personal Care Aide for all of the loving care and friendship that they gave to Mom as well as to her family and to Teddy Bear. Also to the sweet staff at the Meadowview care center for all of their kind and gentle care in her final days. Jeannie’s Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 12:30 PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, and Inurnment will follow at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, ID.
