Denise "DeeDee" McAffrey

Denise “DeeDee” McAffrey Denise Louise “DeeDee” McAffrey, 54, went home to celebrate her new life in heaven with her dear mother (Jacqueline), father (Lloyd) and many beloved relatives on June 26, 2008. DeeDee was born on February 23, 1954 in Olympia and lived there all her life. She graduated from St. Placid High School and later graduated with her Master’s Degree from St. Martin’s College. DeeDee had worked as a secretary in her parent’s roofing business for several years and later was their caregiver prior to their death. She loved her pets, helping others, knitting and reading, enjoying her family and traveling. She was a member of the Unity Church. Dee was our “Angel here on Earth” and is survived by her very dear sister, Pam Parker (Sean) and her brother, Tom McAffrey (Molly); her nieces, Sophie, Kim, Amy and Heidi; her nephew, Sam; also her great niece, Rylee and great nephews, Logan and Casey. Our world will be forever blessed having had her in our lives. She will be missed more than words can say. “Grief isn’t a sign of weakness, nor a lack of Faith; it is the price of love.” DeeDee, you are a Soaring Angel! The family suggests donations be made in Denise’s name to any “crisis center” for women nd children. A private family service will be held at a later date.
