Denise Michelle Nelson
January 21st, 1964 - November 2nd, 2018
Denise Michelle Nelson, age 54, of Rockledge, Florida, left us on Friday, November 2nd. Denise was born in Lakeland, Florida on January 21st, 1964 to Vickie Jarrett Smith and Davis Lee Smith, both deceased. She was a barber for over 30 years and had life-long clients that followed her throughout her career. She had an unwavering devotion to her children and was known among her friends and co-workers as a hard-working, dependable and selfless woman who always thought of family and others first. She had a wicked sense of humor and no matter how tough life became, she always found a way to smile and push through to the other side. The world will be a little darker without her light … She was a sister to Tammy Christina Prewitt and the mother of Darren Platko, deceased, Jarrett Frederick Nelson (29 years old) and Taylor Bernadette Boris (19 years old). She was a grandmother to Lydia Morgan Nelson (1 year old), with another grandchild due in January. She was married to David Boris for 20 years although they were separated at the time of her passing. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 9th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Atlantic Mortuary, 117 Barton Avenue, Rockledge, Florida. All are welcome …
