Dennis Keith Anthony
April 1st, 1947 - September 15th, 2021
Dennis Keith Anthony, age 74, of Kingsport, passed on September 15, 2021. He was born April 1, to the late James Robert “JR” and Myrtle Purcell Anthony in Connersville, Indiana. Born, raised, and graduated high school in Connersville, IN and received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University. Dennis then joined the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Minot, ND. He completed his MBA from Bristol University and became an international marketing businessman and visited a total of 38 countries. Dennis was a college professor at the National College of Business and Technology, where he made a lasting impact on so many. He was a member and former Commadore of the Watauga Lake Sailing Club where he and Kim would spend most all spring and summertime weekends sailing and relaxing with special friends. Dennis was a very loving husband, father, step-father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother and friend. The grandchildren will miss sleepovers with Papa DenDen’s chocolate chip pancakes, homemade milkshakes and fresh strawberries with sugar. Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Kim Richards; son, Michael and wife, TrishAnthony of IN; son, Wesley and wife, Ashley Anthony of CT; step-daughter, Mandy Sakellar; step-son, Andy and wife, Carla Richards of TN; step-son Logan and wife, Bri Barker of MD. Grandchildren are Lainey, Paiton, Hadlee, Jaxon and Quinn Anthony, Taylor, Lexie and Nick Sakellar, Brooklynn Bowman, and Chloe, Kendra and Callie Richards. Great-granddaughters Harper Bowman and Myla Sakellar. Siblings James “Jim” Robert and wife, Barbara Anthony of Florida, Debbie and husband, Larry Marvel of Michigan, and Mark and wife, Suzi Anthony of Michigan. A memorial service for this great man will be held on Monday, September 20, at 7:00pm, at Carter Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport, Tennessee. Military rites will be performed by American Legion Hammond Post 3/265. Family and friends may gather starting at 6:00 pm. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport is proudly serving the Dennis Anthony family.
