Dennis “Denny” Eshom was born on April 5, 1950 in Port Angeles, Washington to Robert and Wanda Cameron Eshom. Denny passed away on August 24, 2013 in Olympia, Washington after battling Pancreatic Cancer at the age of 63. Denny spent his childhood in Port Angeles where he graduated from high school and married the love of his life, Rosalie Cooke, in 1968. He also studied Forestry at Peninsula College in Port Angeles from 1972-1974. Denny worked for the State of Washington for a total of 36 years at the Department of Natural Resources as Forester, Timber Cruiser and Land Exchange Program. When not working, Denny loved being in the outdoors: camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, gardening at his home, sailing, playing pool with friends and listening to music with his partner in life, Rose. Denny is survived by his wife, Rosalie Cooke Eshom; daughters: Rhonda Eshom of Olympia, WA and Colleen Eshom of Portland, OR; mother, Wanda Wertz Eshom of Riverside, CA; Sister, Sandee Eshom Coulter of Port Angeles, WA; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Eshom. The family requests donations be made to the Cancer Fund for Pancreas Cancer at www.cancer.org/donate.
